รายงานจาก BBC ได้ระบุว่า คณะกรรมการจากสมาคม The House of Lords Gambling หรือสมาคมด้านการพนันแห่งประเทศอังกฤษ ได้แสดงความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับเรื่องระบบ Loot Box ในวิดีโอเกม ว่าเกมที่มีระบบนี้ ต้องถูกนับและอยู่ใต้กฎหมายควบคุมการพนันของประเทศอังกฤษด้วย ซึ่งกฎหมายดังกล่าวนี้มีผลบังคับใช้มาตั้งแต่ปี 2005 แล้ว
